Faces in the crowd
I have photographs of Isle of Wight fire service members, including individuals, pairs or small groups right up to multi-service groups, that must total hundreds of faces, 99% of who I can't name.
All the faces pictured in this page are IW fire staff during the Second World War and I hope there's a chance that we might be able to name at least a few of them. Please scroll through and if you spot someone you know please message me using the Contact form, noting the page number, and whether top left, middle row second from right etc.
It is possible that some of these people are transferees or exchange staff from the mainland, there's no way of knowing, but the balance of probability is that the majority were Isle of Wight residents.
